no love from AK Press
They think it's an interesting project, but their publishing calendar is already full for the next few years.
Do we go back to McFarland or keep fishing around for an indy press that will be able to publish the book for cheap?

Sorry to hear about AK Press. What about Last Gasp, in San Francisco? Juliette Torrez, publisher of the chapbook series, Kapow! works at Last Gasp. I first met her at last year's San Francisco Zine Fest; then again the other night at a terrific zine reading at City Lights.
Perhaps best known for publishing underground comics, Last Gasp publishes other good stuff, and distributes a number of zines. See their website at www.lastgasp.com.
